How many keywords are included in my SEO campaign?

As many relevant keywords as we can find to help increase organic traffic. We do not have a set list of keywords or a maximum number of keywords that we optimise for. We conduct thorough keyword research to identify the keywords that are most likely to help increase organic traffic but as we progress we will continue to grow this list based on trends, market research, competitor research and other information sources such as Google Ads, Google analytics and search console. As long as we are working on your marketing we will continue to look for new keyword opportunities.

What Is the goal of the SEO campaign?

Contrary to what many people believe the goal of an SEO campaign is not necessarily to improve rankings.

The goal of SEO is to increase the number of relevant visitors to your website from search engines. By relevant we mean keywords that are aligned with your business goals such as increasing bookings, growing sales, brand awareness etc. The more relevant keywords on page 1 of Google the more likely we are to attract more potential customers and buyers.

What kinds of SEO techniques will you use?

We don’t have a cookie cutter approach to SEO as we tailor what we do to every client’s unique circumstance. That said this article gives you an overview of the most common SEO related activities: https://www.searchenginejournal.com/seo-process-promise/
After clients start working with us we typically develop a project plan which covers some of the main milestones some of which we will collaborate with you on – such as content.

What is the goal of Google Ads?

Ultimately the goal is to improve business outcomes such as more enquiries or sales. However, to achieve this we rely on conversion tracking being correctly set up and a history of performance data to guide us as to which keywords are most likely to lead to these outcomes.
So for new accounts, our short term goal may instead be to attract relevant visitors to your website. However, as we gain more website visitors and more performance data we will optimise your campaigns towards goals such as bookings and phone calls.

Can you provide us with references?

As a general policy we do not give out the names of businesses that we work with. So if you are looking for some peace of mind that you are in good hands please take a look at our reviews on Google.

Do you work with any of our competitors?

Over the past 10 years members of our team have been responsible for thousands of clients digital marketing strategies across a wide range of markets – so chances are we have worked with your competitor.

These days we have the luxury to be very selective about who we work with so aim to work with those businesses and business owners that we believe can become market leaders.

We have never and will never work with two directly competing clients at the same time.

Can we have a monthly or weekly meetings?

While we can have monthly meetings we have found that our clients get better outcomes from quarterly consults and goal setting because it allows us enough time to be able to make changes, see the results of those changes and then make adjustments. It also means we can dedicate more energy into improving results as well as advising our clients on how we can improve business results faster rather than just reporting on what we are doing.

How long does it take to see results from an SEO campaign?

This will depend on many factors such as how old the website is, whether SEO has been done before, the competition in the market and much more. As a general indicator, it could take Google 3 months or longer to be able to pick up any changes made and then factor these into ranking calculations so there is a lag between when optimisations are made and ranking changes result. Brand new websites can expect the lag effect to be much longer as more setup and fundamentals need to be implemented to build credibility.
As many small businesses cannot afford to put all their budget into marketing strategies that may take many months to show a return we will typically recommend a mixture of marketing strategies that will benefit businesses in the short and long term.

How much budget should I allocate to Google Ads?

This is one of the first questions we get asked but unfortunately there is no right or wrong answer.

It is however important to understand that any new campaigns we launch will be nowhere near their potential initially as we need data to be able to optimise and improve your campaigns so that they are profitable. So we generally recommend that you start with a test budget or a restricted budget (for example based on 10 clicks a day) that we can work on and improve. After 2-3 months we have a decent amount of performance data and have eliminated any obvious wastage in the account and can confidently scale the campaign and more accurately recommend a budget that helps you to achieve your business objectives.

If we unleashed a large budget to begin with when account performance will typically at its lowest point there will be more wastage than is necessary.
